The Dominican writer José Saldaña wrote in the introduction to the catalog: 'F. A. Rodríguez, in this exhibition has created a homage to the great spanish painter Diego Velázquez, with the theme of 'The Weavers', or 'The Fable of Arachne'. Is a free style, taking into consideration the essence, creating his own version, which we can witness in the many artworks he has done to this date about this theme. The art of the masters belong to the present, they are contemporary, because they are perennial in time; and a proof of this are these paintings which F. A. El escritor Dominicano José Saldaña, escribió en la introducción al catálogo: 'F. A. Rodríguez, en esta exposición viene a realizar un homenaje al gran pintor español Diego Velázquez, con el tema de LAS HILANDERAS. En un estilo libre, tomando en cuenta su esencia, ejecutando su propia versión como lo testimonian los numerosos trabajos que hasta ahora ha realizado sobre este tema.
Las obras de los maestros son del presente, siguen siendo contemporaneas, pues ellas permanecen perenne en el tiempo; y una muestra de esto son, estas pinturas que se ha esforzado Rodríguez en presentar, en admiración al maestro sevillano de todos los tiempos'.
